Almost READY!

I had another amazingly productive evening! I’ve wrapped up the writing sample sections of the website, all but one section for visual art, and a handful of sections for my photography portfolios. I managed to update the SEO for each and even set up the site for subscriptions and donations/tips for anyone who’d like to show support and appreciation but can’t commit to an on-going membership.

It was really exciting to select some poems from each decade. Some of it I haven’t seen in so long that I’ve forgotten I wrote it–so it was a delightful sensation of homecoming and rediscovery! Whew, it also kicked up some old memories and emotions.

Re-reading some of them brought forth a deep sense of gratitude for the richness of my life, which I can appreciate now, long after the fact–especially with the more painful experience. I’ve truly been blessed with almost every experience and emotion I can think of. (And now, I can truly see that every emotion and experience was a gift–not just the good/happy moments.)

This weekend will be dedicated to getting the last few galleries up onto the site so that I can give this a strong launch.

I will continue to add more photography (there’s a lot I still haven’t edited 😬) , poetry, art, and short stories as I pull things out of the mothballs and dust them off.

I feel like I’m creating a personal digital time capsule! It’s a lot of fun! It’s also a WONDERFUL break after the heavy pace I kept myself to while completing my final revision of SING THE BONES. It feels good to take a break and do something completely different for a couple of weeks before letting myself focus on the next project!

Have a great night!

Mischa
