Busy Sunday!

I’m ecstatic about my progress today!

First, I wrapped up editing the photos from Cabo San Lucas last year and started my travel photography section of the site. I love how they turned out!

Second, I finished a total of 17 book agent queries! It takes time to research each one that shows up in your genre in QueryTracker and ManuscriptWishList to ensure that each person truly does seem like a good match for the piece you wrote so that you don’t waste each other’s time.

Getting through 17 and marking off a few more for round two felt like climbing a mountain! My brain feels like oatmeal.

Based on my experience last night, it also looks like I have a new stress nightmare to replace “I Accidentally Showed Up to Take My SATs Naked” and “Oh My God I’m the Lead in the School Musical: Can’t Dance, Sing, or Remember a Line AND I’m Naked!”

Now I will have nightmares about sitting on the cold floor, locked in my childhood bathroom, doomscrolling through page after page after page of meticulously detailed rejection emails. (Which somehow smell like those pungent stinky Sharpie correction markers my third grade teacher loved… hmm…)

I have just enough brain juice left to look over my notes for the sequel to this first book, and take a glance at the two I intend to rotate it with if I get stuck on a section. After that, I think it’s going to be an early night for me though.

Here is some cute furbaby tax….

Leliana, giving me the angsty goth teen pout and bone-deep sigh because she is “DONE with this crap, Mom, pay attention to me already.”
