Daily Prompt: Anyone Else For A Day

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

This is an interesting one for me to respond to.

The grass isn’t greener elsewhere—you’re just trading one set of problems for another.

So I would pick one of two options:

Me, on my last birthday, staring out at the sunset on the ocean, infused with gratitude for my life journey, the sense of accomplishment regarding all the tremendous obstacles I’ve overcome, and my realization at last of self love and that I would never settle again for someone who loved me less than I did in that moment—even if it meant going solo the rest of my life.

Me, 10 years from now, living the future I envisioned as I sipped my nonalcoholic piña colada.

Our only competition in life is who we were yesterday. After we realize that, the whole world shifts.
