About Mischa Fox
Mischa Fox is a creative director, photographer, designer, illustrator, writer, and multidisciplinary artist. In short, a storyteller bridging multiple worlds.
Specializing in dark, cinematic photography shaped by narrative, mood, and precision, Mischa collaborates with brands, creatives, and entrepreneurs in the beauty, fashion, tattoo, and entertainment industries who desire imagery that is visually distinct, emotionally resonant, and strategically aligned with their vision.
As a represented novelist, Mischa writes horror, fantasy, sapphic romance, and romantasy books that explore the themes of survival, desire, transformation, healing, forgiveness, and authenticity. She’s also an award-winning poet and spoken word performance artist.
In the fine art and illustration worlds, Mischa began as an oil and acrylic painter whose surreal sapphic artwork examined feminism, intimacy, symbolism, and myth. Her first acceptance into an international professional group show came at age 19, and her first solo show occurred by age 23.
This branched into horror and folklore ink illustration, which opened the door to book cover art, design, formatting, and illustration where she discovered a deep passion bringing her writing community’s dreams to life visually.
Her art feels edgy, bold, and explores dark subject matter in vivid color and sharp symbolism. No matter the medium, Mischa’s voice and vision come through clear: bold, unapologetic, crisp, atmospheric, and enamored with the beauty, power, decay, sensuality, and fragility found in darkness.
Outside the creative industries, Mischa offers developmental editing and book coaching for speculative fiction authors.
Occasionally, Mischa draws on her day job history in tech and accepts clients for website refreshes and UI/UX audits to help solopreneurs, creatives, and small businesses create modern, intuitive digital experiences and reach their ideal client bases.
In her nine creative cat lives, she’s been a professional stage actor, set designer, print and runway model, rock and punk band singer, burlesque dancer, writing and performance mentor, and neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ advocate and speaker. In her nine corporate cat lives, she’s been in customer service, sales, marketing, project management, website design, quality assurance, logistics, and software engineering.
Together, they built a creative business powerhouse.
Whether she is shaping a manuscript, directing a photo shoot, teaching a workshop, designing a user experience, or creating original art, Mischa’s work is rooted in one guiding principle: every detail should serve the story.
In her limited free time, she haunts the local forests and coffee shops or curls up with a good book and her three Sphynx cats.
