I’ve been a poet since 1994 and a spoken word artist since 1998. I began winning awards and achieving publication in small independent anthologies and collections before graduating high school. In my twenties, I briefly sang in a band and recorded some solo work before I decided the environment wasn’t a good match for my mental health.
